Situated in one of South Africa's premier leisure areas known as the Garden Route you will find the city of George. As the 6th oldest city in South Africa it is considered the 'capital' of the Southern Cape.
Equipped to international standards, George Airport is one of the cape flying regions most idealic locations and the base of Flight Training College. Our aim is not only to help people realise their dreams but to help pilots develop to their full potential.
We specialise in professional pilot training from the basic Private Pilot Licence (PPL) to the advanced Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATP). Other courses include the Instrument Rating (IR), Multi Engine (ME) and Instructor rating as well as Helicopter Training through our affiliate school.
Within this site you will find a short chapter by our CEO Captain Walter Waldeck (Airbus A340 Training Captain with SAA) on career prospects within the local and international aviation industry.
Students, parents and sponsors are strongly advised to read the career guidance chapter.
You will also find a series of magazine articles he has written for various aviation publications. These will help the budding aviator and his parents/sponsors in making an informed decision before setting out on what is one of the most challenging and rewarding careers possible.
Included below are also a few YouTube links to some of our marketing DVDs. The first two introduce the college and explain the courses, while the third is filmed from the flight deck of a SAA Airbus A340 on a flight between Capetown and Johannesburg. The fourth is about helicopter training at our affiliate school, Blue Sky Aviation. Enjoy.
