To cater for all budgets we make use of various lodgings in and around town. The following are a few of the more popular selections utilized by our students
Bed and Breakfast accomodation
Wendy’s Guesthouse is situated near the Fancourt Golf Estate and nestled at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. The guesthouse is 10 minutes drive from the beach and 7 km from the airport. Students enjoy the family atmosphere created by Wendy and Hennie.
African Sun Guesthouse is closer to the airport and has a farm-house atmosphere.
George Tourist Resort
Self-catering chalets and bungalows are available with a number of options, depending on the time of season.
High School Hostels
Accommodation with three meals a day. This is for those on a tight budget. The rooms are basic and tenants share bathrooms. Please note that space is limited and rooms are not always available.
Oudtshoorn Base
Our Oudtshoorn crew house is available to all students, particularly for the gliding course and for hour building outside an ATC controlled enviroment.
Because the crew house is only 3 kilometers from the airport and 2 Km’s from a shopping center, bicycles are available to all our Oudtshoorn students.
Rental Accommodation
Many long term students prefer to make their own arrangements and rent furnished houses or apartments, sometimes sharing their costs with fellow students.
Transport
George students can either have their own motorised transport or make use of the crew bus to and from the flight school on weekdays. The crew bus leaves from a central location in the morning and returns late in the afternoon.
