Aircraft

We predominantly operate the “old faithful” of all training aircraft, the Cessna 150. This aircraft has the distinction of being the most successful civilian aviation training aircraft in the world. Our fleet of 150’s and 152’s are complimented by Cessna 172’s. We also have a Jabiru SP120 for economical hour building and a Motor Falke for those interested in some gliding experience.

For Multi Engine training we use the Piper Twin Comanche. Affectionately nick-named 'the Pointed Pig' in training circles for it's colourful characteristics. We also have the larger Piper Aztec, a stalward for it's docile handling characteristics.

The Cubby is available for initial tail-dragger conversions while the Cessna 172 RG (Rectractable Gear) is used as our single engine complex trainer - essential if you choose to qualify only for the Single Engine Commercial License.

We also have two flight simulators. Our AS98 flight simulator is used for the basic Instrument Flight and Procedural training, while our state of the art Piper Seneca III / Arrow simulator is used for more advanced Single and Multi Engine training. The CAA have also approved it for Multi Crew, Emergency Training and Instrument Rating Renewals. Additionally it is approved for credit towards the Night Rating and Instructors rating. This is the only CAA approved FNPTII simulator in the Western Cape.
